This piece resembles the traditional Poker smoking pipe shape, however, it has a tricky angled rim and a shank with a versatile combination of different exotic materials. The radial grains from the center dramatically unfold on the left and right sides of the bowl in a strongly contrasted but warm-toned finish. The pencil shank has a greenish verawood spacer, a single joint of Chinese bamboo, and a red acrylic/pine burl cap which has got strong support with the stainless steel reverse tenon. The pipe is geometrically balanced, a sitter. A muscular, but artistic approach to engineering complexity and respect of nature.
